Wrestling Rules:

• Boys will wrestle 5-minute rounds
• Boys shake hands before the wrestling begins

·         Wrestling begins with the boys in a neutral standing position

·         One choke is permitted in each round

·         All other holds you deem safe are allowed and unlimited

• All restarts will be from the sitting back Referee’s Position

·         The boy who last had the advantage will choose his starting position

• Rounds 1-4 are Short Pin rounds: BOTH shoulders must be held to the mat for a 3-count – scores 3 points; no Half-Pins

·         Rounds 5-8 are normal Fighting Kids Long Pin rounds

• A Half-Pin is scored when one of the boys is held on his back for a 5-count – scores 1 point
• A Full Pin is scored when one of the boys is held on his back for a 10-count – scores 3 points (a Stomach Double Arm-Bar, with the bottom boy flattened onto his stomach and the top boy straddling the bottom boy, counts as a Pin)

·         A Submission is scored when one of the boys either taps out or verbally submits – scores 4 points

• Anytime Bonus Hold:
• Body-Scissors/Full Nelson Combination - held for a 5-count – scores 5 points
• One-Time Bonus Holds:
• Rounds 5 and 7
• Cradle Pin – held for a 5-count – scores 10 points
• Stomach Double Arm-Bar – held for a 5-count – scores 10 points

• Pin Time Bonus:
• The total Pin Count for each boy is accumulated during the round.  At the end of the round, the boy who got the highest Pin Count against his opponent earns a Pin Time Bonus of 5 points

• Cash Bonus Hold – R50 – Judo Arm-Lock - held for a 3-count
  
  
• At the end of the wrestling, the boys must shake hands and the looser must raise the winner’s are to acknowledge his win.
